New Electronic Certificate of Analysis Standard Now Available

ALBANY, N.Y. (July 3, 2012) – The International SEMATECH Manufacturing Initiative (ISMI) Quality Council has announced its decision to adopt the RosettaNet electronic certificate of analysis (eCofA) as  ISMI’s standard for exchanging information about materials quality. For companies that choose to adopt it, the RosettaNet eCofA will allow them to  realize economies of scale for communicating quality information to senders and receivers, advance the industry by simplifying the exchange of quality data, and minimize problems incurred with unique or proprietary data formats for materials quality, ultimately containing operational costs.

Debuting in 2008, the RosettaNet Partner Interface Process (PIP) 2A17: Notify of Certificate of Analysis is a well established electronic data transmission standard that can be used throughout the world for any materials, regardless of the industry.
