Abstract:  This specification provides a benchmark of current practices and
a roadmap for the future of factory recipe management systems
(RMS). The document examines recipe management and its effect on
the factory system. It defines the scope and functional
requirements of the RMS and examines how recipe management is
reflected in other parts of the factory system. It establishes a
set of common requirements with which International SEMATECH
Manufacturing Initiative (ISMI) members can drive their own
systems forward and influence commercial RMS suppliers.
