Abstract:
This document contains materials for a three-day course on the use of
software engineering methods for developing reliable, high-quality software.
The materials were developed at the Semiconductor Equipment Technology Center
(SETEC) at Sandia National Laboratories. The course, designed for software
engineers, software managers, and quality personnel, emphasizes areas of
common interest to each class. The course includes sessions on developing
high-quality software; composing and structuring a software requirements
specification (SRS); software design, reviews, inspections, testing and
reliability; configuration management; and quality engineering trends. The
document includes a syllabus and references to software publications.
