Information for Poster Presenters

The purpose of a poster presentation is to use a display (poster board) to summarize the study described in your extended abstract. The poster session allows you the opportunity to discuss your work and answer questions. Poster presentations will also be included in the Symposium proceedings.

Poster Submission

Posters must be submitted using the online presentation submission form below. NOTE: To complete the form, you must have your Abstract ID number ready to access your record. If you cannot find your Abstract ID, please contact aecapc@ismi.sematech.org.

IMPORTANT:
If you have already submitted your poster presentation, but wish to make changes, you may also use the presentation submission form to update your record and/or upload a new poster presentation at any time prior to the September 5, 2008 reformatting deadline. Please note that any changes that you submit will overwrite the existing information and/or poster presentation (i.e., your old information will not be saved).

Please be advised that if your PowerPoint poster presentation does not arrive by the August 22, 2008 deadline, it will not be included in the Symposium proceedings and you will be excluded from the agenda.

Publication Permission Form

All poster presenters MUST complete the Publication Permission Form (pdf). If we do not receive the completed publication permission form by the August 22, 2008 submission deadline, your paper will not be published and you will NOT be permitted to present your poster at the symposium.

Reformatting

If your poster presentation is sent back to you for formatting and the formatting is not completed by the September 5, 2008 reformatting deadline, it will not be included in the Symposium proceedings and you will be excluded from the agenda.

Symposium Registration for Poster Presenters

All poster presenters are required to register for the Symposium and pay registration fees. Register on or before 5:00 PM (CDT) Sept. 1 and save $200.

Poster Presenters Unable To Attend

Please contact Carolon Gerkin immediately. You may replace yourself with a co-author, if needed, however please ensure that we are informed of any changes immediately.

File Prepartion

  • Poster presentations must be prepared by using Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Font size should be 36 point for titles and 24 point for text to ensure readability. Posters must be in landscape page orientation; portrait-oriented PowerPoint files will be sent back to the author for reformatting.
  • Bring a final set of color printouts (8 ½ x 11) of your poster presentation with you to the Symposium.
  • The Symposium will provide the poster board. The dimensions are 48" wide X 36" high, and will only accommodate up to 16 landscaped pages (8 ½ x 11) - please do not exceed.
  • You will be responsible for mounting your slides on the poster board prior to the beginning of the poster sessions (see schedule). Poster boards and glue sticks may be picked up at registration desk.
  • Each presenter will have only 48 inches of floor space. There will be approximately three feet between posters.

Confidentiality, Anti-Trust and Ethical Restrictions

ISMI Presentation Confidentiality Policy

The final poster presentation must NOT contain CONFIDENTIAL or PROPRIETARY information. We will reproduce your poster presentation for inclusion in the symposium proceedings. International SEMATECH Manufacturing Initiative (ISMI) is solely responsible for acceptance or rejection of poster presentations. Poster presentations that contain excessive marketing and insufficient technical content will be rejected, even though your abstract was accepted.

All information presented at this meeting is considered ISMI and SEMATECH NON-Confidential. No material labeled confidential or proprietary (or similarly) will be presented or included in the proceedings. All information presented verbally will also be regarded as non-confidential.

Anti-Trust and Ethical Restrictions

All presenters are prohibited from discussing pricing, products, manufacturing capacity, output and territories. You may discuss previous, non-confidential business relationships as a normal way to indicate your level of experience. Please refrain from discussing the following aspects of the business of ISMI, SEMATECH and its member companies, supplier companies, or competing companies unless you have prior, written approval:

  • Prices, current or future
  • Prices customers pay or will pay for equipment or supplies
  • Costs
  • Products
  • Quantity
  • Customers
  • Marketing plans
  • Bids and unsigned contracts
